Where are you located?
Wise Counsel has offices in Southern California and Atlanta, GA. Please call today for more information.

How long is an appointment?
Counselling appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes with the Counselor. Some counselors may offer longer sessions at a prorated fee.

What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments and cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance result in a full fee charge for the counseling session.

This is accomplished through Holy Spirit-led life coaching/counseling, augmented with health plans, spa remedies and treatments.

Do you accept Insurance?
Typically, we do not work directly with insurance providers, but we will provide you with the paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company. Many plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network providers. Contact your insurance company to find out if your plan covers out-of-network mental health services.

What are your fees?
Our fees begin at $150 per session.

Do you offer sliding-scale fees or reduced fees?

How do I make an appointment?
Receiving counsel is helpful and God-approved. Wise Counsel Wellness Center and Day Spa uses Spirit-led, Biblical and customized counseling/coaching principles to develop a wholeness plan for your life! Contact us today to schedule a 30-minute FREE phone consultation.

What Happens in the First Session?
For your first appointment, you will need to allow an hour and a half. During the first half-hour, you will fill out an information data sheet. This information will give the counselor an overall picture of your background up to the present time. Then you will meet with the counselor. Your counselor will review your data sheet with you and ask you to share in detail the issues for which you are seeking counsel and ministry. Then the counselor will share with you how we approach counseling, answer any questions you may have, and give you a general idea of the direction of your counseling. We will then begin to schedule future appointments.

Do You Offer Pre-marital/Marriage Counseling?
Yes. We handle all spiritual and practical issues of the many challenges of marriage.
If you are a couple coming for marriage counseling, you and your spouse will each be seen separately in the beginning. This allows each of you the opportunity to fully share your situation with your counselor, and to begin to receive personal ministry and counsel. When the time seems right, your counselors will bring you together in joint sessions. (Because you are seen individually at first, it is not necessary for you both to schedule appointments at the same time--unless you prefer to for your own convenience).

Do you pray with your clients or use the Bible in counseling?
Counseling treatment involves many aspects of an individual or family’s beliefs and life experiences including a look at emotional, mental, spiritual, physical, and relational health. Prayer, use of scripture, and other resources are used upon the wishes of the client.
Clients from non-Christian faiths find comfort and hope in prayer and religious writings and may request that these be an active part of their counseling experiences in the context of their personal faith. Non-religious clients can utilize their preferred resources to enhance their counseling experience.

Wise Counsel is a Christian counseling center. What does this mean? What if I am of another faith or non-religious? What is Christian counseling?
Our counselors are Christian by faith, from a variety of denominational backgrounds. As licensed professionals, we honor the personal beliefs and convictions of the clients we serve. Clients choose if and how they would like to incorporate their personal faith or spirituality into counseling.
Clients who are Christian and are seeking to develop their faith can be sure to find counselors here with grace and spiritual development competence who can walk with them on their journey. Clients can be assured that we will follow biblical principles.
Clients who identify as a Christian and prefer not to discuss the Bible or Christian values or do not wish to include their spirituality in the counseling process will feel comfortable.
When clients walk in the door who self-identify as non-religious, non-spiritual, and non-Christian, they will also feel welcome and comfortable.
